A insuficiência renal aguda (IRA) é um problema comum para a
maioria dos médicos, quer no ambulatório quer a nível hospitalar.
Apesar do melhor conhecimento da fisiopatologia e dos novos
fármacos disponíveis para a profilaxia e tratamento, a IRA mantém
uma mortalidade elevada. Nesta revisão é abordado o estado
da arte da IRA, bem como o futuro promissor das terapêuticas
actualmente em investigação.
