Resumo

A cetoacidose diabética é uma situação clíni­ca frequente com elevada morbilidade e morta­lidade. A sua abordagem e terapéutica tem-se modificado ao longo dos anos e consoante as escolas, doses altas versus baixas de insulina, reposição hídrica mais ou menos vigorosa, utilização de bicarbonato, reposição de potássio e fósforo. Com este trabalho, os autores preten­ dem focar os aspectos actuais de abordagem e tratamento desta entidade.
