Abstract

Dermatomyositis is a rare disease characterised by proximal
muscle weakness and a typical cutaneous rash. Total or partial
recuperation occurs in the majority of the patients with the institution of corticosteroid therapy.
The authors report one clinical case of Idiopathic Dermatomyositis in a 16-year-old patient, confirmed by muscular biopsy and
another clinical case of Dermatomyositis in a 47-year-old patient,
with a history of ovarian cancer.
