Whipple’s disease – a clinical case

The authors present the case of a 61 year-old
patient, admitted with a clinical picture characterized
by digestive haemorrhage, and weight loss.
After investigation the diagnosis of Whipple disease
was made.
Antibiotic therapy with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole
was efficacious and was followed by a
rapid improvement of clinical and laboratory parameters
