Abstract

Metastatic gastric tumors are rare but frequently difficult to diagnose. The authors describe two cases of gastric metastasis, in which the primary tumor was known in one case (squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx) and unknown in the other (cutaneous melanoma). The importance of immunohisto chemistry techniques with regard to diagnosis is underlined and a brief bibliographic review of the subject is made.
