Abstract

The author makes a report of the 2nd Course of the European School of Internai Medicine and discusses the particular features of Internai Medicine against the hiper-specialization and the present problems of health care systems. He enhances the similarities of attitudes of Internai Medicine practitioners from different countries, in spite of the different functions performed in their own medical care systems. He proposes an approach of concepts, by the deve lopment of international societies, to promote the Internal Medicine point of views.
