Phantom tumour

The authors presenta clinical case of a 52 year old black man seropositive for HIV 2, admitted for na ischaemic cerebrovascular accident, wi thout preexisting risk factors for cerebrovascular disease. Complementary studies for an embolic source, revealed a right atrial mass without atrial septal defect. Cardiac surgery did not reveal a tumour.
