Sweet's syndrome, acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis

Abstract

Sweet's syndrome (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis), frequently, has a systemic involve ment and is associated with infectious or inflammatory diseases or neoplasms. So, this patients can be found in medicine or rheumatology wards.

Six cases of Sweet's syndrome are retrospec tively analised. The sex and age distribution and clinical features are similar to those of the literature. Four patients had associated diseases. One of them had hepatic involvement, an extremely rare situation.

The authors conclude that the colaboration of the internist in the study and follow-up ofthese patients is necessary, because of the systemic caracteristics of the disease.
