Kaposi's Sarcoma (KS) is a multifocal neoplasm affecting mainly the shin, but it can reach the visceral organs. Four variants are described· classic KS, African endemic, iatrogenic and epidemie. The lat ter occurred with the association of this tumour to AIDS and took important proportions, as for its frequency as for the disseminated clinical expression with stressed visceral plasm. There is a correlation between the degree of immunological deficiency and the extent of the disease.
AlDS-related KS presents visceral involvement on 50 to 70% of the patients. However, the isolated visceral involvement is rare. It is described the gas trointestina pulmonaly and cardiac expression of the disease, because those are the most affected or gans. The treatment is merely paliative and it can be local or systemic. The KS is rarely the cause of dead, except on the pulmonary involvement. The patients usually die due tyo opportunistic infection .
