A case report of capillary hyperpermeability

The authors report the case of a 64 year-old man with a diagnosis
of metastatic neuroendocrine tumour since September 2004, who
presented with anasarca. The diagnosis of capillary leak syndrome
was made after exclusion of other causes of oedema.
A revision of causes of oedema, aetiology and treatment of
capillary leak syndrome is made.
