Abstract

Gilbert's syndrome is the most common anomaly of bilirubin transportation. The controversy of its existence has centred on the nature of the distribution of serum bilirubin concentrations in healthy people. The authors advert to the necessity to reassure the patient with regard to the benign and inconsequential nature of the disorder and the excellent prognosis.
