Toxic hepatitis with interferon Beta-1a

Interferon beta-1a is one of the drugs, which is more frequently
used among patients with multiple sclerosis. Some of the collateral
effects of this drug are known, such as, injection site reactions,
liver tests abnormalities, livedo reticularis, positivity to autoantibodies, haematological and neuropsychiatric abnormalities.
The authors report a case of a patient with multiple sclerosis
treated with interferon beta-1a, who developed an acute hepatitis, in two different occasions.
It was made a bibliographic research of this theme.
