Abstract

The author makes some observations, concer­ning the importance that the ability to visualise organic lesions has made, to the evolution of Me­dicine. Particular reference to the imaging techniques of TAC, fibre-optic instruments and micro-camaras, available since the 1980's, is made, emphasizing the consequences which these new techniques have introduced to the practice of traditional Clinical Medicine.
