Ependimoma intramedular: Revisão da literatura A propósito de um caso clínico

Resumo

A lombalgia é uma queixa muito frequente na prática clínica diária.
Os autores apresentam um caso clínico de lombalgia num homem
de 33 anos, cujo estudo complementar revelou tratar-se de um
ependimoma intramedular com localização D9-L1. O ependimoma
é um dos tumores da glia e constitui a neoplasia intramedular
mais frequente do adulto. Os autores apresentam este caso para
salientar que as neoplasias da medula espinhal, e em particular o
ependimoma, devem ser consideradas no diagnóstico diferencial
dos doentes com dor localizada à coluna vertebral, sobretudo se
apresentarem défices sensoriais ou motores.
A propósito deste caso os autores fazem uma breve revisão
bibliográfica dos ependimomas intramedulares.
