Abstract

The authors present a case report of a female patient with 58 years old, previously healthy, in whom extensive jejuno-ileal ressection was made because of superior mesenteric artery thrombosis, at Luanda hospital. She was transferred to our hospital and the diagnosis of portal, superior mesenteric and esplenic axis venous throm bosis was made. The diagnostic evaluation revealed deficit of protein C and S. The concomitant study of her daughter and grand daughter also revealed deficit of protein C.
