Abstract

Black male patient, 46 years old, complaining of recent progressive dyspnoea and having suggestive history of recent respiratory injection.

Physical examination suggested a left global cardiac insufflciency.

There was a signijicant improvement with me­dication, in spite of occasional short episodes of minimal effort's dyspnoea.

He had fever on the last five days he spent in hospitat, so blood cullure results, were available only after patients death.

Echocardiograms were not conclusive about valvular disease, except the last one, made with EchoDoppler that was diagnostic - acute aor­tic insufficiency. Patient died in sequence of an etiologic disease complication - infective endo­carditis.
