Manifestações sistémicas das doenças gastrointestinais

Ocasionalmente, as doenças gastrointestinais podem apresentar-se com sintomatologia extra-intestinal, tornando o seu diagnóstico, por vezes, um desafio, complexo. Podem ser consequência da
lesão directa gastrointestinal, como na anemia ou má absorção,
da produção de mediadores imunológicos, como ocorre nas
doenças auto-imunes, ou ainda de mediadores inflamatórios e
hormonais como nas síndromes paraneoplásicas.
Por estes motivos e dada a ausência de sistematização deste
assunto, os autores apresentam um artigo de revisão que pretende, de forma não exaustiva, apontar as principais manifestações
sistémicas das doenças gastrointestinais.
