Resumo

O fenómeno de Raynaud (FR) caracteriza-se por episódios
reversíveis de vasoespasmo das extremidades, associados a
palidez, seguidos por cianose e rubor, que ocorrem, geralmente,
após exposição ao frio ou stress. Pode originar complicações
graves como a ulceração, necrose e gangrena, resultando em
amputação digital.
O FR pode ser primário quando não está associado a nenhuma
doença ou condição, ou secundário. A sua correcta orientação clínica é fundamental uma vez que, em muitos casos, pode tratar-se
do primeiro sinal de uma doença subjacente grave. Nos últimos
anos, os avanços no estudo da sua fisiopatologia permitiram o
aparecimento de novas opções terapêuticas.
Neste artigo pretendemos rever a sua patogénese, orientação
clínica e tratamentos disponíveis.
