Aspergilose pulmonar invasiva

A aspergilose é causada por fungos do género Aspergillus,
que se encontram disseminados no meio ambiente. Apesar da
colonização dos seres humanos ser elevada, a doença devido à
invasão tecidular é incomum e ocorre principalmente na presença de imunossupressão.
Na maioria dos casos o prognóstico é mau, dadas as características epidemiológicas da população afectada e a patogenia
deste tipo de fungos. Desta forma, o diagnóstico e terapêuticas
precoces são essenciais para o controlo da infecção e têm repercussão no prognóstico.
