Relapsing strokes as a manifestation of giant-cell arteritis
Keywords:

Giant-cell arteritis is a vasculitis that causes injury in small and
medium calibre arteries, preferentially aorta and its cranial branches, what explains some of its classic symptoms (amaurosis,
jaw claudication). There are, however, other manifestations to
expect, so the authors present two clinical cases where diagnostic
suspection was held by repeated strokes, simultaneously with a
steady increase of several inflammatory parameters.
