Abstract

The medical ward round is still a key element in medical care
and teaching in Internal Medicine. While it allows for change in
form and structure, according to the goals it purports to achieve,
it requires skill and knowledge of the general principles guiding
patient presentation. If performed efficiently it may become a
valuable tool in the transmission of knowledge
