Abstract

The authors present a patient with superior vena cava syndrome, of sudden evolution, as the presenting form of a histologically
proven germ-cell tumour. The first therapeutic attitude was endovascular stenting of the SVC to improve symptoms without
compromising further strategies. After obtaining the definitive diagnosis, therapeutic approach was chemotherapy with BEP.
