Resumo

O traumatismo craniano é um dos problemas mais importantes de Saúde Pública. O traumatismo crani­ano ligeiro constitui cerca de 75% de todos os trau­matismos cranianos. Destes doentes, cerca de 50% vão desenvolver um síndrome pós-concussão.

Apesar de frequentes, o traumatismo craniano li­geiro e o síndrome de pós-concussão têm recebido pouca atenção da parte da comunidade médica; no entanto, trata-se de situações bem definidas clinica­mente e com anomalias anatomopatológicas, electro­ fisiológicas e imagiológicas próprias.
